"Captain America" moves to London!

Due to financial tax credits, the entire production will now be shot in London.

And this occurs after Marvel/Disney anticipated that all Marvel movies would be filmed in Los Angeles.

It is now obvious that movie production over $75,000,000 needs some type of tax credit to compete against the foreign market. Movies that cost less than $75,000,000 do get some form of tax advantage.

Captain America will cost $140,000,000!

Are any of you GetBigger 'experts'  knowledgeable in this regards? ... Dr Chimps? Chick? Goodrum?

Canada is also taking lots of Hollywood's business.

What major factors discourage the production of movies in Los Angeles?

Do union demands/requirements play a major role? SAG? Etc.

I watched Spider-Man/Spider-Man 2 and they sucked, so I haven't felt motivated to watch any of these other flicks.  I will not allow them to destroy the memories of the comics I loved as a child. 

I'll probably check out Avengers and maybe Thor, though.

Thor vs Hulk: Yeah, Thor can wax Hulk all over the place out the gate, but as long as he isn't immediately KO'ed he gets ramped up and super PO'ed and can start going toe-to-toe. In the Planet Hulk run he is so super-pissed fighting Sentry (after he knocked Thor out I think...have to check) that the fight almost destroys the entire eastern seaboard of the U.S.

edit: World War Hulk. Planet Hulk was the lead up.

another edit: Apparently in the run he only knocked out a cyborg Thor. Not the real deal.

there is no question - hulk beats them both everytime.

thor despite being a god has been beaten by hulk more times than i can count. not to mention he needs a magic hammer and belt of strength to even last a few mins - without either he'd be killed.

sentry was beaten quite soundly in wwh.

hulk is the strongest one there is - make no mistake.

also if thor was sooo tough why does he always need the avengers to help him take on hulk

LOL. Geographical and cinematic FAIL. Captain America is being made in Europe!? Stunt, I couldn't tell ya. Movies and their Hollywood lawyers can wring a box-office loss from the Summer's highest-grossing film if they want. Last money in, first money out, etc. I would assume that a lot of the post-production, especially sound and CGI would still be done in California.

theres so much potential in doing a dragonball z real life version movie... take real bodybuilders, dress them and do their hair exactly like dball characters, in a cartoon-like, crazy environment. make them fight and put the best special effects ever+do a 3d version. there you go a top box office movie+ will motivate kids to get in shape like the guys in the movie
