Arnold Weekend - Nationwide Arena - lots of people will be going to this event...


Strikeforce officially announced on Monday morning that the company will be holding its first ever event in the state of Ohio on March 5that the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. This event will be a part of the weekend's sports and fitness extravaganza, the 'Arnold Sports Festival'. According to Strikeforce officials, the following fights have been announced for the event:

Light-heavyweight Championship: (C) Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (10-2) vs. Dan Henderson (26-8)
Women's Welterweight Championship: (C) Marloes Coenen (18-4) vs. Meisha Tate (11-2)
Billy Evangelista (11-0 MMA, 7-0 SF) vs. Jorge Masvidal (20-6)
Tim Kennedy (12-3) vs. Luke Rockhold (7-1 MMA)
Initially, there were talks of Kennedy vs. Mayhem Miller. On his FaceBook page, Kennedy expressed disappointment over the change of opponents due to his desire to have the rubber match with Miller.

Previously, the UFC and WEC held events during the Arnold festival. In my opinion, this is a smart move by Strikeforce because there will already be at least 50,000 people attending this festival.
