Tom Hardy (the hunk I'm posting pix of on the I'm not gay but this is gorgeous thread) did the made for tv movie as Heathcliff...  I swooned.

I can't remember whether he took his shirt off or got it wet as did Colin Firth as Darcy in Pride and Prejudice.  

I read both books when I was about 14 or 15 and have re-read them a few times since.  I adore period drama.
