ign ranks the top 25 games for both systems, a bit outdated since it was made last august but notice how most of the ps3 list is exclusive games and the most of the 360 list has games that can be played on ps3

Voice chat is huge for online gaming.

Kinnect is fun, and will define motion control functionality for consoles.

you are correct

and by the end of the year you can add several more, the 360 is only getting gears 3 and forza racing game

i forgot to mention gran turismo is on ps3 only

Gears of War can't run on the PS3 because the PS3 struggles with the Unreal engine.

I loved God of War 3, but most of the cannon fodder you fought had low poly counts to keep the framerates up.  Most of Uncharted good looking stuff are pre-rendered cutscenes using in game assets rather than gameplay.

But, you shouldn't be buying games for looks anyway.

Earl is right about how advance some games are on PS3 compared to Xbox , some games weren't able to take advantage of the abilities for a long time but I was reading that it's really not cost effective as well to produce these games which is why you wont see many of them , and the same with being exclusive to one system games. Obviously you'll always have exclusives for each platform but newer games are being marketed towards multi-systems because it's more cost effective and this could actually hurt some PS3 games and and not take advantage of the systems full capabilities.

I've always been about the PC - better performance by far and you can upgrade them whenever you like - they're pretty much futureproof for a good five or six years as long as your rig has got the space for bigger graphics cards and more memory. The PC I'm typing this on was bought in '07 and it still plays all the latest games - I can't see me upgrading for another two years at least.

I haven't owned a console since the original Playstation back in 96 and I sold that to a mate so I could put the money towards my first PC.

To answer the original question though, if I had to choose, I would pick PS3 over XBox360, but I prefer the XBox 360 control pad.

another thing that should be pointed out, a lot of 360's exclusives aren't really exclusive, they can be played on a PC

ps3 exclusives are true exclusives
