The responses here fuckin kill me....Half of you internet/gym/weekend warriors burst a fuckin blood vessel if some one gives you the wrong look in a grocery store, or over some silly road rage incident. Half of you tell dumb ass stories about how you 'almost' fucked someone up at the gym because they touched your wieghts. You all know how fucking violent and idiotic these wannabe gangster types are and when some cop handles the problem you all respond with the same bullshit about how "all cops are pricks, this is why cops get shot, that cop deserved to get shot" etc etc....If any of you ever dealt with the stress of actually confronting these violent shitbags instead of just commenting about them from behind your computer I seriously doubt you could handle the situation any better.

Fine your right let the cops treat known violent gang members the same as they would a civilian driving to work- with extreme force. Admit it, 50 years from now we'll have absolutely no rights. The cops are just trying to protect us from ourselves right? 

I'm not against officers as men, they have families and lives like everyone else. I'm more objective to the protocol they follow and the government that makes it. I'm not a big fan of population control.

Thing is, what you didn't know is it is policy to handcuff and search a person you are arresting regardless of their statement to be cooperative. The reason for this should be obvious and is based on what has happened to officers in the past. So rather than suggesting to him how to do his job, you should have complied with his directions. And you are who twink?  Just as an FYI there was another time where I was totally cooperative with an officer (hands on wheel, immediately pulled over, 'yes sir', 'no sir')  and simply asked how long it would take him to write the ticket as I needed to piss (and thus my lane change without a signal at 10pm at night with NO ONE behind me).  This prick said to me "as long as I want it to take".  So, I opted to piss in my shaker cup...and when he asked me to read and sign the sheet I took my sweet ass time.  Glad the fucker had to sit there in 20 degree weather while I did so.  Even more happy when I purposely dropped his pen and had it roll under my car.  You see, respect begets respect.  Just because he has a badge and a gun doesnt mean it immediately gives him to spew shit out of his mouth.

Umm..did anyone even see that the prick started off with attitude?  I again remained calm and simply added that I would get in the back of the car no problem at all.  I didnt TELL him how to do his job.  It was more of a "is that necessary" type of thing.  The absolute whole time I was polite.  When I get handed that "cop-a-tude" shit from them is when I have a problem.  There is no denying that once some of the jag queens get in uniform they think they are beyond reproach.

Been a "victim" of police violence once and it wasn't pretty but I respect that the officers thought I could be armed and had to be careful.
The thing that sucked was they didn't apologize after the misunderstanding had cleared - left me with ripped clothes and a dirty face.

I think you don't have the luxury of being "nice" when doing law enforcement. You have to maintain control of the situation from beginning to end. I remember seeing a program on tv about correction officers and one officer got killed by a few inmates simply because and i quote one of the guys who did it "he got killed because he gave a damn"..You're not there to be nice or polite..Yoyu're there to do a job..a tough one that WAS YOUR CHOICE to do..

Appreciate the support. And in some cases when we get there there is no opportunity to start off nice but we do have the luxury in many cases to be cordial, respectful and nice... probably most citizen contacts are that way.. I've always viewed it as a loss if I have a situation escelate to the point force is needed. Most things can be defused by a good officer. Some... Mother Teresa couldn't defuse and there is no good outcome no matter..

I picked this career, won't catch me bitchin about it. Even the outright irrational police haters don't bother me anymore once I learned its nothing personal, they just hate cops. The overwhelming support drowns out their whinning

Doesnt surprise you?  Listen my son, I absolutely WAS respectful in how I was.  I was on my way to my clinic, he came up to my car and did the standard "know why I pulled you over", and I said yes...I even said "I am going to reach for my wallet in the bag on my passenger seat"....everything.  No tone, no anything.  Lots of yes sirs, and no sirs.  So dont give me this holy than fuck thou with me.  That county is NOTORIOUS for prick officers.  My memory is great....right down to me even saying "hey, no biggie" when he actually did cuff me.  Again, you are the type to side with rude fuck officers up until it happens to you.  Then you will rain down more tears than a tsunami.
