Just started the Jeff Carson series on David Wolf a police officer in Colorado.

I've never tried to find out but I started and finished a book that was 340 pages las night.
I'm on the fifth book of series but I've probably read 3-4 different books also in between them.

It's a prequel and post novelization of the movie, gave it a quick scan, it's wordy, and not in the way a good noir novel should be, but we'll try it out.

Edit - Happy to report the book did pick up and turned out a nice read. It could use a little editing, and some of the prose didn't flow that well for a sentence here, and a sentence there. But it worked all things considered. Also some of the plot comes together a little too easily. Characters escape too easily, run into each other too easily, etc..... But I've seen established writers do worse.

Rating - 3.75/5.

Will have to read that one. Loved the movie.

Smooth read. If not for audiobooks I doubt that I would have attempted reading this. The movie was good as well but condensing this story into one movie makes a lot left out.

*update* Just finished it on 7/16

After slugging through this monster I feel as tortured as Edwin Dante when he finally escaped that prison.
