Well prayer develops faith I'd say. "withou faith, it is impossible to please God." Hebrews 11:6. And second, prayer is contending for breakthrough, and part of relationship of the One who loves you most. Not just asking for things, which He loves to give us, but communication directly to our Creator. I admit, it would be nice to hear "yes" and "no" from God, but that's rarely how the kingdom operates. Most of what you need in life will be provided for you, but much of what you want you'll have to go get. And by that I mean, as a believer, pressing into God with prayer and praises and thanks. Cuz once you actually EXPERIENCE the touch of God, the fire of His presence, and begin to humble yourself and realize what took place on the cross that day....you begin to transform, lol, but serious, and realize you were created for a purpose. NOBODY was born by accident, God is love, God is life. I kept God out until I was 30. This is getting too long, ha. Religion is rules, laws, and regulations, but religion has no power, no miracles. Those come from Jesus. And Jesus isn't a religion, he is relationship, he is the way, the truth, and the life. Either he was the biggest liar and fraud in the history of mankind, or he was who he claimed to be. sorry this was so long...but not that much.

Or he didn't exist at all. Nothing personal, man, I respect your faith. I just can't personally believe in a "loving" being who would stand by while such hideous things happened to decent people. People who pray. I mean, what kind of God is that? "God has a plan" just doesn't seem to cut it.

Which is why I believe it's just us, with no one watching over.

It wasnt God that did evil to people. It was people doing it to people and people allowing people to do it...

God answers prayers in his own time not my time.

And its not my right to question Him if they go unanswered.

There has got to be reasons.

I suffered loss in my life and hurt. But it allowed me to know that God put these trials in my life to make me learn and to know.

Still, the most decent among us can and do suffer as much (or more) than the wicked. And they pray for forgiveness and guidance, yet still they suffer. Even if it's a single case, it's a horrible system. Evil people living with less suffering than good people.

Prayer really pisses me off.

Ive lost loved ones and questioned God so many times.

At one point, I lived on the streets, penniless questiong God why...

Ive asked the question as to why God allows bad things to happen...Ive come to the realization of why should I or you be special to not face adversity?

Please take the time and listen to this song.

Even christians face adversity....but it is much easier to face life when you have hope.

The Bible prophesied that because of Israel's rejection of their mesiah that they would suffer....

Again..you say what kind of God? Where were the so called righteous people that allowed this to happen?

Also, darwinism is the true evil...how do you think Hitler got the belief that some people were nothing but animals and a particular race of people were better than another?

1.You are nothing but stardust that came from a cosmic burp 18 billion years ago.
2.There is no purpose to life except to have fun and pass on your genes.
3.When you die you get recycled into a worm or a plant.
4.There is no such thing as right or wrong, there are no absolutes. So why not kill each other?
5.You are an accident and have little or no value.
6.The universe will not miss you when you are gone.
7.Your presence here is a burden on the planet since you are one of the polluters. It would be better for the world if you died.

I know Hitler's beliefs, and I know people looked the other way while it happened. But still, where was God? While decent people suffered unimaginable horror, where was God? Individually, they were mostly decent people.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe Christianity is bad, I just think it's all hopeless.
