To those who think it's easy to put two hands together to handcuff someone who is resisting you are dopes. Have two of your friends wrestle you and the game is they have to touch both of your hands behind your back. Unless you are a complete punk or they are really good at choke holds they won't be able to do it. Shocking him was the most reasonable way to cuff a wild animal. The alternative would be to beat him into submission with blunt force trama with a baton. He caused his own death with his behavior. I would like to see you guys in uniform dealing with scum bags then you would have different out look on what the Police deal with.

Lot of people like to say "Why did it take three officers to arrest that guy?" The answer : Coulda done it with 1, but we would have had to hurt him more..

If I ever lose control and start trashing the joint, I hope responding officers taser me before option 2 of beating me into submission

This is very true. I have a few police officers in my extended family and they say that cuffing a large man who is resisting alone is almost impossible. Not just because of size but do to leverage and lack of flexibility. I've seen police training videos of two grown men having trouble cuffing a 120 pound teenage girl.

sounds like the cops did the right thing to me.

guy's going nuts, assaulting people. the cops are called to restore peace. They are legally allowed to use stunners. They are legally allowed to use them as many times as they judge to be required. If the victim isnt complying, tough shit.

They (the cops) dont sign up to go hand to hand with psycho druggies- they go to work to uphold the law and keep the peace...and they have a right to do that with reasonable risk and the tools they are given.

he died?- well it wasnt murder, and if someone dies due to a stun gun then it's the policy at fault, not the police.

fact is, if it wasnt a stun gun then this guy mightve been looking at a bullet.
