Things are a bit different now than then.  We are more polarized, campaigning is more publicized and our beliefs are more galvanized.  When that freak show of repub candidates show up it doesn't sway anyone in the middle.  When in doubt people will tend vote for trash they are used to.

But i do think, as many do, that the real race is still far from starting.

The folks in the middle don't decide presidential elections.  It's independents and crossovers.  You should check out Obama's numbers with independents.  He's already lost the independents and crossover Republicans who put him in office.

uh... Ozmo's kinda right man... Fucking Newt?  lol, not happening.  We don't need a messiah from the GOP but that doesn't mean any ol' turd will do.

According to Rasmussen - Newt is ahead by 2

one of the best lines in Getbig history..gets right to the point as to what 3333 is

No, i just give him shit from time to time and i understand that some of our back and forth is just forum debate tactics.

One thing i do know about 33333 and do respect is that if he accused me or someone else of something he'd  back it up or admit his error.  That's more important to me than a person's political ideology.

That's what i am trying to say.  Romney is a borderline turd.  MB, Newt, Perry, Cain are all turds IMO.

I think Newt would have a tougher time getting Democrats to vote for him in the general, but I think even he can beat Obama at this point.

Rasmussen was the closest of all pollsters in 2008.

You know where I am.   A B O 2012.     I would vote for Mumia Abu Jamal / Kimbo Slice over Obama at this point.

I'm giving my opinion not yours.  I can't vote for Newt.  Yes I know you'll take President Camacho over Obama.  You've made that clear a thousand times.

Ronald Reagan was a former Dem and had a few rino positions as Gov.

And what happened to federal spending, the federal deficit, and the national debt under Reagan's Presidency? That's right... they all exploded.

Reagan was a bigger spender than Bill Clinton:

Having read Reagans' diaries - that was one of his biggest gripes since he was dealing with a Dem congress most of the time and was the only way to get other stuff he wanted.   Not saying its right, but both he and the congress spent the $$$

Majority of Voters Say Obama Doesn’t Deserve Reelection; Independents Agree
Yahoo! News ^ | Nov. 30, 2011

Worthington, OH (PRWEB) November 30, 2011 -- With 2012 around the corner, where do Voters stand? Nearly half (46.3%) don’t think President Obama should run for a second term while 43.5% think he should, according to the latest American Pulse™ Survey of 6,071 respondents.

Further, a majority of Voters (51.8%) don’t think President Obama deserves reelection while slightly more Independents (52.5%) share this view.

In fact, since we asked the question in March 2011, a majority of Independent Voters have felt the current president hasn’t earned a second term.

In addition, 1 in 5 Independent Voters (20.8%) think Obama should hand over the reins to Hilary Clinton instead of running for reelection.

That is true; there definitely is blame to go around, but the point is that Reagan shares that blame. Yet conservatives and Republicans still try to hail him as the messiah of fiscal conservatism.

The Republican/conservative establishment will continue feeding us these willy-nilly RINOs until we do something about it...

I agree with all that yet no way in hell I'm going to vote for Newt.  If I had been polled I would have also said Obama doesn't deserve reelection.

Power of the incumbent.

Normally yes, but Obama is in Carter territory now.

Democrat: 49     Jimmy Carter

who is this 333333 you're referring too?

Speaking of Carter territory, Obama is about to face reelection with the highest misery index since Carter.

I've got him to recant quite a few times.

He might kick and scream about it, paste a bunch of fluff around it, but he does.

Nigh impossible, but is has happened.  Hell it took him 5 days to just answer a simple yes or no question.  And then the few times I have cornered him over his gay remarks have taken multiple days, multiple threads and multiple lies and fluff on his part.  It isn't like he comes forward to admit his error or mistake.  Only when he has nothing else to try to deflect or deny with will he admitted to stop the beating.

Sorry 333 but Ozmo is correct.  90% chance of Obama having another 4 years.

It isn't because he is doing a great job.
It isn't because he is still popular.
It isn't because he is still believable.
It isn't because he has had much success.

Obama will get a second term for the exact same reason that Dubya got a second term.  Because the opposing party choose a schmuck to head the ticket.  As hated as Bush was, he barely squeaked by that wax melted schmuck Kerry.  The DNC knew that the incumbent most likely holds on to the seat, that is why you didn't see Obama or Hillary running then.  Same thing will happen with Obama.  It is going to come down to White Obama (Mitt) against the Incumbent Black Obama.

Obama will beat the schmuck by a narrow margin.  Then in 2016 that is when you will see the heavy hitting Repubs like Jeb, Jindal, Christie, etc.. all come out to jockey for the open seat.

Delusional.   Obama is lower than Carter at this point and wont get the turnout he did in 2008 and Newt / romney / Paul would be far better than McCain.

Dubya barely squeaked by a schmuck when unemployment was low and the economy was operating at full capacity... Obama is facing election with double the unemployment of Bush, accelerating inflation, and a weak economy.

We would still have that no matter who won in 2008.

Keep telling yourself that.  If that is how you soothe your hatred and insecurities then so be it.  But it doesn't change the fact of what is going to happen.
