A lotta guys got their pro card after winning the Germans. Ruhl, Rockel, Scholz - none of those guys ever competed at the European or World Championships.

Ruhl didn't even win the overall at the Germans, just his class (and still got the pro card).

you need to pay the fee, and pronto!
A lot of euro BB get their pro card this way.
this guy may not be a German citizen or something , do not know his case...
Or the powers that be hate him?

That is how Ed van Amsterdam did it....

Everybody always say he won his pro card at a worldchampionship, but that is not true! Ed never won a worldtitle...
He got second at a worldgames show, a competition from another federation, not ifbb!
He had won the dutch Nationals when he was younger, and a European title with IFBB, and combined with his performance at the worldgames he got his procard from Wayne Demillia at the time.... because he was impressed with Ed.
Take the impressed part as you will.....

i just happen to know for a fact that you can apply for pro status after a national Title.
A friend of mine won the Dutch nationals, and was told he could apply for pro status. at the time it was a fee of 200 dollars or something like that.
He laughed his ass off! And said, what the hell would i do on stage with pro's i'll look like a junior competitor.. lol!!

This is why for me the natural ( tested) vs drug debate is silly.
If the IFBB simply picked this kind of guy as the ideal, there would be no problems.

once they started drug testing at the worlds,i thought they made all national contests pro qualifiers.and dont the overall winner at the worlds get a olympia qualification.

overall at the worlds , get pro card. not every class winner... could be wrong , but i think only overall gets a pro card.
and anyone that wins his/her National title can apply for pro status as well. (IFBB sanctioned show offcourse)

and at national's those classes are packed good and bad but still beating 20 or so guy's in your class is a bbing accomplishment.
