Hard hitters can hit you anywhere on the head, even with little effort and still punch you out. Power and accuracy are two different things both have their advantages if used accordingly.

I agree. However the fight was very misleading. Jones gave Machida way too much respect(and rightfully so I may add). However, if they fought again, Jones would probably take him out in the first round. However,  what I did take from this fight is that Jones does not like to be hit. It almost as if the guy has never been really punched in the face. And that in the end may be his demise. Although, it may take many years before someone with his reach is able to step in the ring with him.

I think Jones striking is sub-par for sure. He gets away with it because of his reach and the fact that most people who get in the ring with him now are nervous as fuck of those elbows. Take this guys reach away, and he wouldn't be in the UFC. And that's a fact jack. Unreal that he kept trying those goofy spinning back kicks against a Karate guy like Machida. I can see doing one just to keep him thinking, but Jones kept doing them as if he was gonna do damage with that move. I guessing the day someone knocks him the fuck out is going to be his Mike Tyson moment and he will never be the same fighter again. He fought pretty scared of Machida in the first round. Mike Tyson never fought scared before he got knocked out. This Jones dude gets knocked the fuck out, he won't be the same fighter. With his body structure, the only other sport he would have a chance in is basketball. But he would be a tiny basketball player.
