young bloke I work with has just started going to the gym and discovered this Zyzz fella, raving about him how he was the most ripped guy in australia and a total beast.
Checking these old threads can see he looked good standing there but great comparisons to zane a worldclass bodybuilder blowing him away in development and conditioing, especially in that vacumm shot.

Comparing Zyzzzzzzzzzzz to Zane is silly. Frank was real, that other douche was just an internet ass-clown.
Frank also competed in Powerlifting and Weightlifting, not just inter-webz posing like Zyzzzzzzzzzzzz...

That still you posted is from a Pabst Blue ribbon beer commercial that was on tv for awhile. The weight on the bar was 496lbs.  Eight 55lbs red bumper plates and 5.5lbs collars. The barbell was a fake prop. There is no way in his prime could Zane have cleaned and jerked that weight. I wonder if he could have deadlifted it.  Zane was a great bodybuilder.

Wow! I haven't seen that commercial in maybe 30 plus years. It was such a big deal to bodybuilding fans that they used a bodybuilder. I believe this was pre internet or if it existed I didn't know one person who had it.

Correct, but Frank had some decent Powerlifting numbers for his day (and weight), Ill see if I can dig them up..

i wonder just out of curiousity who is more famous world wide frank zane or zyzz. I also think a lot of the zyzz appeal is connected to the rave,dance seen. Some of them songs in his  have propelled the artists to fame and I would guess made them a lot of money. I don't really remember anyone giving  a fuck about find yourself or monster now you hear that shit all over the place even in the usa. Zyzz has a big built in fan base with the xtc,coke dance seen culture

lol poor wes to bad wes looks more like zyzz then anyone on this board  maybe wyzz  should be his name:D grandfather of aesthetics. Although wes attained his build with far more hard work and less drugs and is way older. ANd that isnt a cheap shot either it amazing to me that someone in there mid 50s can look that awesome on basic cycles
