I have no interest in picking up pitchforks and torches for the sake of running Big White Boy Harridan out of town. While a pain to some, he is easily dispatched to oblivion by ignoring his posts. Depending on the severity of the offense, censorship has its pros and cons. However, I will say that if the subject matter of a thread is interesting and well-articulated, no amount of gimmick trolling should succeed in derailing its substantive content. You have to be an imbecile not to recognize gimmick work, and infantile to feed his disruptive appetite. The gimmick wins by succeeding to get your goat, which exposes more about his victims than it does about himself. Moreover, when not surly or combative, some gimmicks show decent imaginations, and infuse a measure of levity to otherwise moribund posts. One last thing, will the czars of Getbig assemble to oust every other annoying persona (as in mask) who dares to desecrate the precious content of one’s singular contribution?
