OK, reality check here guys. I know it makes no sense to have a moon base, but I think we should do it anyway. Come on fuckers!

Lets build a fucking moon base!!!  >:(

We have to figure out how to get there first...(not highjacking. I'll leave it at that)

Negative Sir.  I had friends in the Secret Service, Protection Division.  I went to visit the President several times after he had retired.

After the 2nd or 3rd visit (always taking a new friend with me so they could meet him) I realized that he did much better when there were fewer people in the room. Remember, his Alzheimer's was affecting him at this time. On the particular visit pictured, I was just there to help my friend get through Secret Service and had no intention of coming into President Reagan's office. That's why I wearing strictly non-presidential clothing in the picture.  :D The official photographer that day, motioned for me to come in and join the group and have a photo taken, so I joined the group and this photo was taken. It was autographed and sent to me a few weeks later.

So you're saying you didn't check Nancy's oil?  ;D

Very cool, man.  I'm digging the shorts + tshirt.  "Oh you know, hit the gym, met the pres, grabbed some tacos.  The usual."

Several times my friend. Went jogging with Bill Clinton as well. True story.

He gave me the launch codes but gh15 took them from me and never gave them back.

Which meeting was more impressive, with Clinton or with Cswol at The Firehouse?

;D  Well, since I spent about 2 minutes jogging with Clinton, before SS asked me to drop back so others could get a photo op too, I would say Cswol at the Firehouse.  :D

for those who don't know here is some quick basic data, the moon is not a planet nor a star, its a moon aka satellite, the light you see from the moon is really the light from the sun shining on the moon, the moon is about 240,000 miles from earth and the sun is about 92,000,000 miles from earth, the international space station is about 220 miles from earth that's about 1,161,600 ft.

My whole life I thought that the distance between the sun and earth is 93 million miles not 92 million, has it changed, is that a typo or are you simply mistaken

Isaac Asimov writes about this in the book Foundation and Earth.  One my favorite books!!!

"On the approach to Earth, they detect that it is highly radioactive, and not capable of supporting life, but, while trying to use the ship's computer to locate Solaria, Fallom calls Trevize's attention upon the moon, which is big enough to serve as a hideout for the forces that lived on Earth. They land on there and find R. Daneel Olivaw, who explains that he has been paternalistically manipulating humanity for many millennia, and indeed, since Elijah Baley's time, which was long before the Galactic Empire or Foundation. He caused the settlement of Alpha Centauri, the creation of Gaia, and the creation of psychohistory (detailed in Prelude to Foundation and Forward the Foundation). He also manipulated Trevize into making his decision at the end of Foundation's Edge (although he did not manipulate the decision itself)."

you are right, its 92.956 miles to the sun, so yeah makes more sense to say 93 mil miles

OK smart guy, here's a little well known fact for you:

In 1983 the Russian's were planning to cover the entire moon in shiny aluminum foil and turn it into a giant Disco Ball. Of course we all know that after hearing of this plan, then President Ronald Reagan, ordered all Piggly Wiggly's to stop selling aluminum foil to anyone who smelled of vodka.

Here is a photo of me and retire President Reagan disgussing that very plan and how he foiled the Russians. "Foiled" get it? Hahahaha

Yes i've read about this...And if you believe in Aliens, it looks like the "dark side" would be a perfect place to live.
