Do I have a problem with female MMA? Nope. But there are going to be a lot of guys (thanks to porn?) who simply are hoping it turns into a cat fight. I have no answer to how this could be curbed.

I don't think I will ever be able to get used to women in fighting sports. I used to love the UFC, it was a mans domain, and now women have infiltrated it. It has lost something, it just doesn't feel right. Seeing women all bruised and battered, and then at the press conference, it's just not right. Women should stick to looking sexy and letting the spectators know what round is coming up in between rounds.

And WTF with Travis Browne illegal elbows on Gabriel Gonzaga, what a punk move. I think all those elbows were questionable. And then Dana rewards it with a $50,000 bonus, what type of fucked precedent is that. I guess they prefer Travis Browne for the win, Gabriel had already retired once, I guess they think he is just going to retire again.

First three were not illegal. Next 1 - 2 were. Last ones questionable, but more on the legal side.

I disagree, if this is now a legal move, wrestlers better watch out, it is common for wrestlers to position themselves in this way, because up until now they thought the rules protected them from being struck in the back of the head. Also some of those elbows could be considered 12-6 elbow strikes, also illegal. I suppose now that the fighters know that elbow strikes too the back of the head are OK, they will be able to adjust their style accordingly.

I heard Gonzagas camp has protested as they should. But because Uncle Dana rewarded the illegal blows with a $50,000 bonus, sending the message that elbow strikes to the back of the head being illegal is a thing of the past, it is unlikely the commission will overturn it. I guess Dana wants a return to the days of anything goes.
