I can't figure out if your response was trying to be funny and missed the mark by a mile, or you're an enabler.
I try to infuse a generous amount of humor into all of my posts. After all, this is a bodybuilding forum, we can't take every little thing to heart. Also, I have no candles in this funeral, because of which, I prefer to take a very neutral stance in this entire debate. I have no qualms with you gentlemen, nor do I have any problems with Grant. I am simply the voice in the middle, trying to diffuse the situation.
Either way, I highly doubt you've jerked off on film/stage for a bunch of old schmoes for $200.
No. I've never had to engage in any sort of extracurricular activity for extra money. I have a very lucrative and rewarding career in finance and can't partake in any of the unconventional fun.
That said, what is so wrong about Grant masturbating for money? We men masturbate every single day, sometimes multiple times throughout the day. Grant found a way to make each drop of semen count. Some do so by donating sperm at their local sperm bank, Grant instead found a way to make more money from the comfort of his own home. Who are we to judge the ethical nature of his activities? Did he harm anyone? No. The only way you would get offended is if you actually went through the trouble of paying for that video and didn't like the presentation. Besides, Grant had a successful career in the porn industry, I think he could care less whether or not pictures of his penis are floating around anywhere.
My guess is your vanity doesn't have you running a $2,000 a month stack and wearing a wig to try to retain your wasted youth.[/b]
About him running a $2,000 stack, I do not live with Grant. Because of which, I can't vouch for his day-to-day activities.
If he does use $2,000 in steroids every month to keep a certain look, who cares? We are on GetBig! We glorify men in thongs and are avid fans of IFBB pros that invest much more than just $2,000/monthly in stacks. Why would the apple fall so far from the tree in this instance? Grant was a top-level NPC competitor that almost made it to pro. He has every right to do what he wants with his money. I think that argument is baseless and serves no purpose. We are all slaves to vanity in one way or another. Some manifest this by way of amplifying their physical attributes, others do so by finding ways to edify their minds, either way, who are we to judge? I could care less about how he chooses to invest his money.
I think you gentlemen slung shit Grant's way and he returned the favor. I also think this nonsense is being taken way out of proportion. At the end of the day, Grant is a moderator on this site. He has spent many years supporting what Ron's vision of this site is. If it comes down to who will disappear from this site if shit truly hits the fan, it will be a loss on your end.
My honest take on this is that both parties (Hockey, Delta & Truth vs Grant) should just call it a day and move forward. Your purpose on this forum can't be to simply troll Grant Michaels. It's a battle you guys will certainly lose (see: Lulu).
Think about it... You guys post personal information and/or material regarding Grant, it will simply get erased and soon thereafter your accounts will be banned. Sure, it could make Grant angry, but what greater purpose will it serve?
I say you guys bury the hatchet and move forward. Both parties got their points across. Ron will not side with you guys. It's a matter of friendship. Grant and Ron have been friends for over 12 years. If he needed to pick between both parties, he will side with Grant, regardless of any circumstances.
I like everyone taking part in this conversation, but you gentlemen must see the obvious and understand that it's sometimes smarter to pick your battles wisely versus going against the grain.
