I figured out a while ago that porn is a drug.

Just like with drugs you start easy with soft core playboy pics, but then that doesn't do it for you anymore.

Then you move onto penthouse, then hustler, then hardcore videos. Next thing you know you need to watch transsexual midget bondage scat cartoon rape porn to get off. Codeine -> oxycodone -> smoking heroin -> injecting heroin, need to take heroin just to feel "normal"

Meanwhile, real women seem don't elicit the same passion in you, and sex not as good as it used to be, even sometimes you might not be able to get it up, and if you do you can't cum. Hence, why so many young guys these days increasingly are using viagra. After a daily diet of hardcore fucked up niche categorized porn, the real thing just doesn't stimulate you the way it should.

Before the modern era of porn, the average guy maybe saw 5 different pussies per year, now with internet porn you can see 100 pussies in 10 minutes. This overstimulates the brain and desensitizes it, just like taking meth overstimulates, and when coming off meth the world is a dull, depressing place until your brain recovers and re-sensitizes the receptors.

I'm sure just like with many drug users, regular daily porn users have tried to "cut down" or "quit" using porn at times in their life, only to realize how addictive it is. Many even experience withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia and mood problems, which go away once they get their porn fix again.

Do you realize all that imagery from porn is being stored in your subconscious and is affecting your everyday interactions with other people? That secret shame of looking at twisted porn is sitting just below the surface of your mind and is affecting your confidence, integrity and other aspects of your self.

As with everything, moderation is key, but not many people can take addictive drugs in moderation. Especially addictive drugs that are free and can be taken in secret at anytime in the comfort of your own home.

One of the best posts I have ever read, great job jr !

I used to on a daily basis, maybe 1/2 to 1 hour every day or two since teenager years. About 5 years ago at age 30 I decided to cut down and now I rarely look at porn, maybe see some pics on getbig by accident here and there.

A few months ago a relatively attractive married woman at work gave me her phone number out of the blue, and I got an instant boner in my pants. That level of arousal would have never happened during the porn days. This was at age 35 with no steroids in my system,  strong libido, ready to go at any time. Porn is a libido killer and many people don't realize it.

Then we stuff  have this:
Porn totally f*cks up your dopamine system. I actually had withdrawal symptomes, such as mood swings and lethargy, when I quit. People don't realize how it affects your mood.

I decided to quit watching porn not for sexual benefits but for mental ones. My concentration is much better since i started my reboot.

it was fucking with my sex life, period. I had to relearn how to have a normal sex life, as most chicks didnt like to be fucked like a piece of meat all the time.  Who knew.
