Manual labor advices, is this an oil pressure/sending unit?

the black cansiter the thing that looks like a black cylanderish pyramid is leaking how do i dismantle this?

If it's on top of the motor, there is no need to drain the oil.  The black cylinder is threaded into the brass riser.  You need to unscrew it.  Get a wrench for the black canister.  You will also need a wrench to support the brass riser.  The last thing you want to do is crack the riser. 

Any auto store should have the oil pressure sending unit.
