Well, even if this wasn't a "conspiracy" there is more than enough bad placings in the IFBB history to confirm that politics, at times, heavily decides things.

They were bad placings according to you , which proves you're biased and ignorant on how contests are judged. I do feel judges personal feelings can sometimes get in the way it's only human nature but the contests aren't the travesties the guys are crying

No one is ever happy about who wins , it's been like that since day one. I was bitching & moaning back in 1993 how Flex Wheeler was screwed over and how the judges are blind and Flex was robbed etc until I learned how contests were judged and then I could see for myself how 1993 wasn't even close but I preferred the way Flex looked over Dorian and based my opinion on that.

People scream Wolf should have won , Ramy , Kai , Rhoden , Dex , everyone has their preference/.

If you're Lee Thompson, why not just step aside and not be a judge at the Olympia so that the conflict of interests doesn't exist? It's obvious there is a conflict of interest regardless of the results...

You can put your name on a contest if you work on a show, etc.      Ronnie Coleman Classic, Adela Garcia Classic, Felicia Romero Classic, Dennis James Classic and so many more...

You honestly think that because Phil Heath has a show in Texas, it is helping him get an Olympia win.  Really.

A good relationship is vital when you organize an event, so yes, it can(!) help Phil.

So when Gifted Nutrition starts selling in various shows, all of us are business partners with Phil...

Apples-oranges... I would rather use the term 'clients', and a client has no financial or personal interest in Phil's placing.

At this stage of the contest, between Kai and Phil, it matters on which physique you liked better.  I was there.  I am a big fan of Kai, big advocate of him, and Phil's back rivaled Kai, and even exceeded it.  The back is what wins the show here when the fronts both look good.

This should be the way of judging them, but is this the reality? I don't believe so, and not just in this particular Phil v.s. Kai case.

And some of you always belittle and ridicule the IFBB.  Sad to see it, but some people are so negative, anything good, they make it terrible.  Everything that remotely goes a different way, it is all politics.  Aka this thread. Since Phil Heath is a business partner with Lee Thompson (aka, has a show in Texas), Phil was favored to win the Olympia. Come on...

I rarely say anything bad about many things, because I choose to try to see the good in things over being negative every day.  In any organization, you can find something not good on it.  I can give you quite a few about the NFL, the NBA and so many others.  Very easy to do.

But here is the IFBB pushing hard for international contests, aka South Korea, South Africa, Dubai, and many more coming up.  That is cool.

I try not to be negative about the IFBB or in general all the time, but I won't look the other way when I get multiple signals about the underlying mechanisms. Like I wrote in a thread, started by Howard:

That's a good read Howard, but what I'm missing here is the concept of conflicts of interest. Too often I see coaches/trainers, sponsors, gym owners, etc as judges. In fact, I can't remember a show where this wasn't the case.

True, every organization has its flaws, but I can't hardly call those conflict of interests 'flaws' or 'incidents'.

Hey, I am friends with Flex Lewis, and he is a BSN athlete, and he won the Olympia 212lb.  I carry BSN.  Perhaps we Favorited him to win the show too.

It would be like Jim Lorimer & Arnold promoting the Arnold Classic together and then Jim turning around and judging Arnold in the Olympia.  It doesn't look good.

Bullshit. When there is a huge consensus over misplacings, it becomes obvious. Its not rocket science, genius.

Once again, he did not judge the Mr. Olympia.

I guess you have to take it for what it is and just stop caring what they award. Ever since Branch got second it's quite obvious something is off but hey, it's free to watch.

But where's getbigs gossip board without a little discussion and stabs, yeah?
