I have a Facebook that my marketing department updates and I recruit using LinkedIn.. Have no personal social sites. I dont understand why anyone would care where I dine tonight or whether my bowel movements are regular or whatever else it is that people blog or post or twit about
Wanna know why you don't care? I'll give you the most brutal truthful answer.
You have a job, and real friends.
Social media is for losers, nosey bastards, and stay at home moms who want to know what everyone is doing, and when nobody likes what they do ("little bobby spilled his frosted flakes. here's a photo album dedicated to it") they convince themselves that everyone is a hater and they are a victim in this world.
Anyone who makes a post more than once a day (and that's stretching it) has major social issues.
I dated a girl who was on facebook/twitter/pinterest/instagram for a short while. She would get pissed if I'd bite into my food before she got to snap a pic of it. Almost like the whole restaurant experience was ruined if there was no proof you went.
