It sure would! I believe there are certain pockets in America where guns are restricted? Is that true, places like New York state and Chicago? If so don't those places have very high crime levels actually demonstrating that gun control doesn't work?!

Gun control at that level is merely there to inconvenience people that might be attempting to obtain legal firearms with an undesirable nefarious outcome in mind

Once the gun has been bought, the "gun control" in your country has nothing to do with gun crime.
I should add given that it isn't my intention to get in a gun debate in their thread, I merely answer what is a pretty naive comment about what gun control is.
You will never know the positive effect of the mild gun control in your country.. The statistics you are looking for are the number of non criminal type people who have had bad intentions and been inconvenienced enough to think better of purchasing a gun and using it on someone. Very small numbers. Hard to see the stats. Anger does fade, though.
