Why are you attributing this knowledge to Wiggs and Uberman? Many researchers have been saying this stuff about internet porn for a long time. I was clearly aware of this research before Wiggs and Uberman came along. It's not like they had some insiders information. It's public knowledge.
You look at it the wrong way, you can actually maintain a higher libido and better erections for longer in life. All you need do is constantly get fresh porn, and thanks to the Internet age that is easily done. Like his research showed, those who mate with the same person have less and less sex until they eventually have none, and based on the use it or lose it theory, your erections simply disappear. Those whose brains are tricked into believing they are mating with a new partner all the time have higher libidos and better erections. All this talk did was reinforce my own experience of higher libido and better erections from porn use (as long as you constantly introduce fresh porn or have a large variety/volume of porn). Like any addiction, it becomes an enhancement when properly managed, when supply is thwarted like in the case of drug addiction, problems arise.
All those do who quit porn or avoid porn is sublimate their libido, this is OK, but many people struggle with this and their attempts at doing so backfire, like we see in the Catholic Church (boy fucking). Porn addiction has it's problems, but I would argue less so than those that can arise from complete abstinence. Like someone said in this thread, moderation is key, but like with any addictive matter, this is easier said than done. I have tried both, complete abstinence (from porn and masturbation) and unfettered use of porn. For me, abstinence was far more problematic and is the root cause of white knight syndrome if you ask me.
