Happens here and there.  I usually get "I wouldn't wanna mess with you" or "you could play for the Cowboys" or "did you play football in college".

Older I get the less people care about that stuff.  Most people are more concerned with where you work, what you do, how much you make, how long you've been married, how many kids you have, where you went to school and what you can potentially do for them.

People that want to get their bodies noticed tend to talk it up a bit on their own to get people going.

"I'm doin P90X".  "I'm doin a Tough Mudder".  "I train at Gold's."  "Started my half marathon training last week."

Most folks are oblivious to such things.

For the majority, if you have only 12" arms, but have slight definition around the biceps you're "huge".

Only one time, and then I was wearing a "smedium" sized T-shirt!

I was training for a contest a few years ago and doing Giant-Sets.....I drew a small crowd of stunned onlookers and one guy called me a beast.

I quickly gave him one of my patented headbutts followed by a quick front snap kick to the throat region and told his semi-concious ass to never speak to me when I`m training.

True story.

Not all, but most.  Some permabulkers in certain clothes can look impressive (subjective I know), but strip off the shirt and the 165lb cut dude looks waaaaaay better.

For the vast majority of folks, any person with any definition whatsoever regardless of actual size and weight translates into "huge, hyper-muscular athlete".

Being tall is great!

Not always.

No  career options as a jockey , 212 pro or Oompa Loompa .

I'd rather be a short with a long penis, then tall with a short gerkin.

Permabulkers just look fat.

Just yesterday a pretty girl saw me benching and remarked ;
" If you lost  your gut, you'd look pretty big ."

Pretty much. A year of consistent training and some definition in your arms and and you will get the occasional admiring comment from the average non-lifter. Anyone with a decent amount of muscle will be regarded as being huge. A woman at work calls me "Mr Universe" and I'm a 190lb twink. :D

If Method101 is only getting these positive remarks now than it just goes to show how pathetic he must have looked before.

You know what's awesome? Being 6'3" with 18" arms and a 9" dick.

I'd rather be a long penis (6'7") with arms and legs at the lower area (around the scrotum), than an omniscient gerbil/gerkin.

I love when guys go on gear/staying on gear and think having 15-16 inch arms is huge.

15-16 inch arms are only huge if you are under 5'2

A lot of people in work have commented on my arms, I normally wear size L slim fitting shirts which partially expose my upper arm and my arms fit tightly into them. I've had guys ask me how much I curl to get arms like that, I have had women ask me to flex for them and one even asked to feel my bicep, she went all red and looked like she was melting after touching it. Every woman I have ever dated since turning 20 has commented on my physique before I even mentioned that I trained.

The funny part of this is that my arms are only 2 inches bigger now than they were in the green shirt picture, shows how fucking stupid getbig standards can be and that you don't need drugs or bodybuilder levels of muscle to be very impressive to the average person. It's also kind of sad that I only gained 2 inches in 7 years but oh well I've been inconsistent at times, but for the last year and a half I've been training solidly and I'm at my best now ;D

INB4 someone posts the green t-shirt picture. How many times have people recognized you lift weights in clothes?
This is a wonderful story
