Why do I believe the initial reports? I suppose I don't fully to be honest. I don't believe anything they say, they have proven to be liars over and over again. However, you can't announce that, double down and then use a justification that completely nullifies earlier pronouncements.

Yes, IAEA was confirmed pre-12 day war / original strike.
Per politifact, the focus subsequent to that was on verifying whether it still existed. IAEA assessed that it did, and Iran still claimed to have it (for what that's worth, who knows).
So, it's my belief that the first strikes did not obliterate the program, and Trump's usual hyperbole/bluster/horseshit was just that.
To that, I believe additional attacks were warranted, and the timing was likely influenced by Israel's plan to attack. But I don't believe we did it because Israel controls us.
