Don't worry, August will be even worse.  And then what?  Nobody there to blame or cry about rigging them.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/aug/05/texas-republicans-redistricting-maps-trump
Senator John Cornyn of Texas has asked the FBI to aid Texas law enforcement in locating and arresting Democrats who left the state to forestall a plan sought by Donald Trump to aggressively redraw the state’s congressional map in a way that could help Republicans keep their House majority after the 2026 midterm elections.

It is possible that the FBI does not have jurisdiction to arrest these Democratic Senators. Also, leaving the floor to avoid a quorum is not a criminal offense. This is probably why John Cornyn is accusing the legislators of other offenses which are crimes, such as bribery. He does have the authority to levy fines against these folks.

More than one state can play this game. California and New York's governors are looking into redistricting to increase the number of Democratic Senators in their states.

This is a big mess. Just one more bit of ridiculousness which makes the U.S. government look like a failure and a laughingstock.

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/08/05/trump-teases-new-policy-for-migrant-farm-labor-00493683
Trump said that his administration will continue to deport criminals but that he wants to “work with” farmers to find a solution for their workers, oftentimes immigrants who have lived in the country illegally for decades and are paying taxes. He suggested the White House was working on a touchback program for some workers, requiring them to leave the U.S. and reenter through a legal pathway, an idea that faces strong opposition among immigration hawks who view exceptions for one industry as a slippery slope.
Lots of industries have work visas. I would hope that is what they are alluding to.

Handpicked appointee dismissed after 53 days.  How many again was there this year alone?

"I hire only the best".    :D :D :D :D

---

Among the many issues that have plagued the Internal Revenue Service in recent months is the revolving door at the commissioner’s office: Between January and May, the tax agency went through five different chiefs in five months.

The revolving door appeared likely to stop after Senate Republicans overlooked former Rep. Billy Long’s controversial background to confirm him as the new IRS commissioner.

Exactly three weeks ago, Donald Trump — who picked Long despite his complete lack of qualifications — held a ceremonial swearing-in ceremony for the Missouri Republican in the Oval Office. It was a provocative move in its own right: Since Watergate, presidents from both parties have taken a hands-off attitude toward the IRS, treating it as an apolitical and largely independent agency. The incumbent president, in contrast, seemed eager to signal his control over the IRS.

The Times’ report, which has been verified by NBC News, added that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent — who ostensibly already has a full-time job — will serve as acting IRS commissioner for a while.

For those keeping score, Senate Republicans confirmed Long on June 12, and he formally took the office on June 16, which means he lasted just 53 days — or in the parlance, roughly five Scaramuccis.

Dow rallies 500 points, S&P 500 hits new record as CPI report gives Fed green light to cut rates: Live updates

Updated Tue, Aug 12 20252:07 PM EDT

Stocks rose Tuesday as investors breathed a sigh of relief that a tamer-than-expected inflation report might give the Federal Reserve the green light to cut interest rates next month.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average
advanced 510 points, or 1.2%. The S&P 500
gained 1%, while the Nasdaq Composite
added 1.2%. Both the S&P and Nasdaq rose to new intraday highs.

Tuesday’s fresh inflation data release reassured investors, who have feared that President Donald Trump’s broad tariff policies could spike prices in the U.S. economy.

Unless I am wrong the CPI is produced by the Bureau of Labor Statistics - Mr Trump fired its commissioner a few days ago for unreliable reporting

https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/trump-jobs-report-data-bureau-labor-statistics-0fb71568?gaa_at=eafs&gaa_n=ASWzDAizxyof41zn6lyY0VhEJqb9_m_LpkYT9tjhwNWs-p1PnZGMKWcSRsrO9HyEnJU%3D&gaa_ts=689c03fa&gaa_sig=dVrM5Txk1IVj2gBRV1AiB7sngBKWpfd21PMGkbEMZuDpI6l0bn_ul0eDf9Hm8kxFnyDmNQf2OZFZ3UnN0ZWztw%3D%3D

The Trump administration is considering changes to how the federal government collects and reports job data, according to White House officials, following President Trump’s decision to fire the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner earlier this month in the aftermath of weak employment numbers. . . .

Trump has complained publicly and privately that jobs-report data is designed to hurt him politically, taking aim at large revisions to the numbers that have complicated his contention that the economy is soaring in his second term. Trump has told his advisers that he doesn’t want large revisions to the data in the future, the officials said.

Funny how the person who ran a fake scam university is trying to shake down legitimate ones.

You need to move on from this fake story. Left has nothing and I mean literally NOTHING to run on..anywhere, anything, anyone. They have nothing 😂
