How was he delusional? He occupied the Saar with no repercussions, annexed Czechoslovakia and Austria without a shot being fired. All he wanted was German territory to be united which included taking back the Danzig corridor. Once he crossed that line and war was declared, he had no choice but to go on the offensive.


And to the folks saying they were soundly beat in World War One, that's not the case. They signed an armistice while occupying foreign soil, the powers that be waited until they were on the verge of financial collapse and then imposed an unfair deal with the threat of firing back up the war machine. They should've called the allies bluff and World War Two would've never happened. It would've save a bunch of lives that's for sure.
