What the fuck are you talking about.   Nothing weird about his death.   His kidney failed and subsequently he was diagnosed as also having cancer just when he was about to get the kidney.   There were some other health issues with Derek but those were the main ones.


But I still lost....because I failed to reach Derek Anthony and talk some sense into him.   Even when we were friends at the time, I repeatedly told him to "put the toys down" and give his body a rest.   But he kept telling me that he needed to stay fit to keep the paychecks coming in (sponsorships, etc) and that he would stop when he got settled with his finances.  


So I lost in the end because I couldn't save him, John Romano couldn't, Dave Palumbo couldn't, Curt James couldn't, Gregg Valentino couldn't, Mr G, etc.   We could not make him stop.....he didn't die from cancer or kidney failure.   He died from muscle dysmorphia.   He was always chasing the North Star.
