So he chose guaranteed money over another opportunity in the NFL. The narrative is that he was blackballed out of the league because of his wokeness.
This is the premise of his argument.
I have a few questions for you..........
1. Where is the evidence that teams colluded with each other?
2. Does any player that is talented enough to play in the NFL have a right to play in the league?
3. Do teams have a right to avoid signing a player because of distractions that he is likely to cause them?
I'm my opinion teams are willing to put up with high maintenance players when they are supremely talented. They are less likely to put up with high maintenance players that are mediocre. Also, teams will eventually run out of patience with the supremely talented players. They often reach the point where they are more of a pain in the ass then they are worth. NFL teams are in the business of winning games and making money. It is my opinion that they are fully within their right to look at a player and go "thanks, but no thanks". Guys that cause distractions are usually bad for business and they usually find themselves assed out eventually.
1. We will have to see what comes out in court. I obviously don't have any proof that the league is working to keep him unemployed.
2. Work places can hire who they want, Ray Rice was employed until the video came out showing he knocked out his girl friend. He was done after that. Joe Mixon had a similar video released and he was drafted. Talent wins games.
3. Certainly. Greg Hardy would still be a respectable starter in the NFL but he's not worth the baggage. Same holds true for Dez Bryant.
I'm not disagreeing with you/saying your wrong. I'm not saying I support Kaeprnick or his views. I've been to enough sporting events where people in the stands ignore the anthem. I know plenty of people, of various races, who dislike the police. For whatever reason Kaepernick sitting during the anthem (He was originally sitting not kneeling) and speaking out against cops became a lighting rod.
There's no doubt, Kaepernick isn't worth the headache at this point, and thats probably the only reason he hasnt been signed. However the NFL could have easily squashed this before it ever got got this point and they keep bumbling the issue.
What I am saying though is that his lawyer has and will continue to paint the narrative and likely offer evidence to prove collusion exists. And I'm sure the examples sited previously will be used at that point the court will decide.
