OK, Most of you GetBiggers won't believe this shit, but it's the absolute truth.
I've been a casino nerd since the age of 18 when we used to gamble while on ski trips to Lake Tahoe ... and after all those years of sitting at Blackjack tables and standing at Craps tables, I can honestly say that I am still ahead when it come to my overall gambling bankroll.
For you non-gamblers that means .... I've won much more than I've lost!
Some call it 'skill' and some just say, "You're damn lucky!", but I say it's a combination of both and .... the family members whom I taught to play the game ... can attest to that.
I'm a minnow ($5 tables) and I play for fun and I am familiar with the odds and I sit at first base while playing basic strategy (Blackjack) and leave that table if one or two others at that table don't know what the hell they're doing.
Blackjack ... I buy in for $100 at a $5 table (off the Strip) and if and when I lose $50 at that table, I switch to another table or quit entirely.
(Buy In with only the amount you have no fear of losing. That is critical!
With a $100 buy-in, I'm usually satisfied with a $20 -$70 dollar win .... and usually cash in with a smile on my face .... Usually because I had a few drinks, but mostly because I have more money than I had when I first entered this casino.
Basic Strategy is the key ... as well as a willingness to quit while ahead.
I don't recall ever losing my $100 bankroll, but have lost half of it occasionally .... BUT ... I enjoy the game a lot and figure that that $50 loss was worth it ... and if I was at some nightclub I'd spend more that $50. But my 'cocktails' while playing BJ only cost the price of a tip.
And I don't drink a hell of a lot.
BUT ... I have failed to mention that I NEVER-NEVER play Blackjack on the Strip and ...... I'll explain exactly why in my next post.
