The 160lbs skinny guy sitting quietly eating his dinner with his wife whose been going to the jui jitsu dojo for 8 years knows he could put a world of hurt on him as he eats his meal.
Or he thinks he can.
Rule No.1 Never underestimate your opponent
As he doesn’t know what other if any type of training the big lad does.
Now that I'm older and have one bad arm, I think about weird shit like what would I do if some dude approached me and tried to be tough or threatening with me (funny how now that while I hadn't trained for three years, and shrank taller dudes are dismissive of me....they never talked down to me when I was "big" It feels like a reversion to middle school)
With the amount of people in MMA now it leads me to believe it'd go down something like this assuming it's in public;
Other guy; "i'm gonna fucking kick your ass"
Me: "If you have no mma training, then take your best shot. You'll be on camera assaulting me first, I'll get at least one shot in breaking your nose or knocking out your teeth, since it'll all be on camera the only questions are will you spend time in jail bragging about how you beat up a guy older and shorter than you? Or will you be in jail watching the news with a fucked up face as all the other inmates mock you for getting lit up by a midget?"
Other guy: "Actually...yes, I do have MMA training, and I'm going to kick your ass"
Me: "Do you have lots of money?"
Other guy: "Yes, what's your point in all this?"
Me: "well shit! Fine carry on then, but can you at least take it easy on me so I can walk into the lawsuit against you?"
Getting old sucks
