It's not going to work for a leftist politician who knows where his bread is buttered, but there are plenty who watch Bill Maher who it will drip through on some. I have a friend like this. Leans left, mostly because of his wife, and they watch Maher religiously. It gets through to that type.
Hopefully.
Torres was incredibly annoying, because he was supposed to represent a young, new dynamic politician, but he was literally more of the same old same old, just wrapped in a newer package.
He tried to blame the rise of gun purchases to crime, when the reality is the rise of purchases from buyers who want to protect themselves from lawlessness. He tried to act like the right is the leader in cancel culture. He was awful, and it was good of Maher to put him in his place.
BUT, for all Maher's preaching, he's complicit to the mess we're in, and will just keep voting Democrat no matter what. The points he and Weiss were making were what many were making over a year ago.
