I didn’t count the punches but they essentially went 3 rounds without fighting. They were warned by the referee to fight at the beginning of the 4th round I believe that they need to fight but still never really engaged much. It may not have been, but it looked like a fixed fight.

I understand that fighters need to stay active when one of them is in the guard position, or presumably when they are in the clinch or otherwise locked up...but since when do fighters need to engage?
I don't recall anyone asking that Thompson or Woodley to start fighting.
I can't remember if it was one or two judges that gave Israel Adesanya 49-46.

I didn’t watch the women’s fight, could care less about it. Did see the end of the ring interview and the Chinese girl looks juiced up and the polish girl looked like an alien.
While I admit that even the smallest female fighters would be tough...I suspect that at your strength level, it's hard to be intimidated by these women, and therefore not as exciting to watch.
For all the bragging McGregor does about having knockouts in three weight divisions, WHY does that matter? The only thing that matters is what he has done in the HEAVIEST weight division...he talks like that as if any 185-lb'er couldn't knock him out.
I'm not sure if that's what you were getting at about the women - how they not being as strong as men makes them less exciting to watch. Correct me if you didn't mean that.
