There are people on social media who are worried about how undocumented immigrants will  be able to get this money.

It’s a good question.

Yes we need to find a safe way to transport the money into their hands. I hear your concern!

Could be more than just a Grand:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday introduced legislation to provide as much as $1,200 per person and $2,400 per couple in the U.S. amid the coronavirus outbreak and skyrocketing jobless claims.

The draft legislation, obtained by Fox News, would provide minimum payments of $600, and aid would be phased down at adjusted gross income thresholds of $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 per couple. Additionally, there would be $500 payments for each child.

The rebate amount is slated to then be reduced by $5 for each $100 a taxpayer’s income exceeds the legislation's threshold. The amount is therefore reduced to zero for single taxpayers with incomes exceeding $99,000 and $198,000 for joint filers.

If i was american

I'd spend it like this

You don't need to be an American to have $1,000. But if you get it from the U.S. government you better be a U.S. citizen...or else! Either way, I don't think there'd be any restrictions on how you spend it. So if you want to hire some blond to drop her pants and shake her ass in your kitchen, that's your choice.

I will not be receiving it. It wouldn’t do much anyway. I am however concerned with how things will go over the next few months.

Are you saying you are a millionaire and therefore won't qualify? :) Actually, the qualifications change depending on what you read. Some articles say for those individuals making less than $65,000 a year others say $75,000. Is this adjusted gross or total gross income? When the checks go out is yet another story....maybe in a month and maybe longer. Supposedly it won't be in the form of a tax rebate. So, if you get it and you've suffered no loss of income, you'll pay more income tax as a result. There's all kinds of unknowns. I think it is going to be paid out in Monopoly money, like when you pass go.

What I’m saying is, I won’t be getting the $1,000 and even if I was, it wouldn’t do shit for me. I’m on a webinar tomorrow to see how this house bill effects business owners. We are required to pay two weeks leave for any employee with symptoms and pay their screening cost and it is enabled through the end of the year. Also, we may be responsible for a portion of child care. There are some breaks, such as deferring tax and being able to claim some of these things, which I’ll find out tomorrow. I’m also slated to talk to my CPA to see what my options are. I’m good as far as a cash position goes, I’m just not sure how long this will go on and what the repercussions are going to be. I lost $60k since the beginning of the year in my retirement, I’m not trying to burn through my cash too. Not worried, but I am concerned.

Lol this! If you told anyone a few weeks ago they would close down everything people would have laughed at you and said you were nuts!

These people that always dismiss conspiracy theories don't realize they are being very naive and stupid. Not saying everything is a conspiracy but come on people humans conspire all the time. Humans have thinking brains - which allows them to conspire. it's not rocket science!

Ropo is one of those morons. There are no conspiracies in his world. Everything just happened by accident. Humans never planned anything and there were not agendas etc. - according to Ropo the Idiot!

Oh wow! Owning a business specially one that includes having employees right now is even scarier that not knowing what is in store for most of us. I feel for you. I hope you are able to get some clarification tomorrow about how the house bill might play out for folks in your situation. What is even more frightening is that you have to rely on answers from a source that probably doesn't have them yet. I think the whole world is having to accept taking things as they come and basically having no control over what happens whether it is on a personal, financial or business level. I hope the best for you....I hope the best for us all.

Pretty much all my eggs are in one basket. I am retired and the majority of my income is from guaranteed annuities from PERS and Social Security. If the government at the state or federal level is short on or out of money, you can bet that with guarantees or not, my income will be cut or disappear altogether. I can't even think about it because when you don't have answers, that's just too difficult. So when it comes right down to it, a lousy $1,000 dollars isn't going to do squat for you, for me and for a lot of other folks. I blow that much or more on nonsense every month.

Let's hope all this is blown way out of proportion and we aren't all screwed. My son is retired military as well as my son-in-law who has full disability from his time in the service. So pretty much my whole family depends on the financial health of the government. Talk about scary.

I'm sorry if I seemed to make light of your situation before. That's what can happen when we go off half-cocked.
