Years and years of heavy flat BB bench presses, press behind neck, upright rowing and pullups/lat pulldown (behind neck) is what destroys shoulders... not flyes.

I’ve just clocked 60 & competed at a high level in both powerlifting & bodybuilding
I’ve done all those exercises & with heavy weights (for me) and still do all except flat bench
A torn pec & tricep from m/bike accident stopped me. Otherwise my shoulders & in fact all
My joints are fine.
I have always warmed up thoroughly & Stretched/ kept flexible.
