Meaning the left tried to change Trump's goal and when reality doesn't live up to their new personally created standard, they think they have a political win. Then low information people like yourself parrot it all over the place like you have some sort of higher knowledge of the situation. Let me give you a little tutorial. The wall was never exclusively about new sections of wall. Trump has mentioned numerous times about the crumbling, ineffective sections in our current border barriers. I'll post some pics so you get the idea. Those older barriers are placed in the highest trafficked, most accessible and most likely areas for crossings. They're also all on federal land, which makes it much easier to build then all the new sections which are mostly on private land. It only makes logical sense to upgrade areas while they're still getting approvals on private lands for new construction. They've built almost 300 miles of new and improved wall. The fact that you're trying to discredit that by changing the goal is ridiculous. The goal is to severely restrict the flow of people across the southern border and that's exactly what they're doing.
I take it you think you have 'high' information? Well then, knock yourself out.
Here's some more of my 'low' information.
Donald Trump promised to build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it. That didn’t happen.
When Trump was campaigning to become president, the southwest border had 654 miles of primary barriers. Under Trump, that has increased by three miles, to 657.
The U.S.-Mexico border spans approximately 2,000 miles, and about a third of it has barriers raised by the U.S government over decades. That hasn't increased during Trump's presidency.
