First issue with this lady is this... she is a poll watcher but didn’t scream bloody murder at the time of seeing these things she claims she saw? That is the whole point of being there! You can dispute things and all the supervisors have to get together and resolve any issue on the spot.
She is claiming signatures didn’t match from the computer records for a voter to the signature on the ballot and the lady showed her as such?
Firstly, no ballots have signatures.
I assume she means the envelope the ballot was in which means, at that point nobody knows who that vote is for since the ballot is still inside safe and sound. So if it was let through with a bad signature then it might be a vote for either candidate.
Also, if the signature doesn’t match at that point, isn’t it the job of the lady trying to get her attention to actually reject that ballot! Why is she being hush hush and not simply rejecting it.
The signatures get approved or rejected long before the ballot is revealed. And that happens by someone else, not the person who approves or rejects the signature.
As for ballots being run through machines multiple times. All the ballots generally have barcodes or other security devices on them identifying it as the ballot of the person who requested it to prevent them from being counted twice by machines, and also from being mailed in by someone who also votes in person on Election Day.
Not to mention all the ballot numbers have to match how many were sent in and how many people turned up on Election Day.
