I don't think tats are an addiction.  I think SHITTY tats are though.  I mean you are going to have a large part of your body covered in ink, at least have relative and pertaining to a bigger picture.   But some people have a dozen of tats that have no relationship to one another or flow.

And don't get me started on the tats that are basically a paragraph of words.....
I have this little missive tatooed on my chest and traying down into my abdominal region:

LOL!!!

Tim - honestly, thank you for getting and beating lung cancer.

You were in shape all your life. That may have been the difference.

Your story kept me I fear, and kept me not smoking much.

I had one just now with a McDonald's meal and a coffee.

What I learned from your successful battle with lung cancer is that I don't want to have to go through that. I don't want to say "Damn, what did I do to myself?" Especially when I should have known better.

But IS two cigarettes a week, assuming I can sustain this [which as a disciplined person, I feel I can] going to hurt me?

Recently I decided that I'm not going to wait for gyms to reopen in Ontario to get back to hard workouts. What I WANT is to follow a proper heavy [for me] lifting schedule.

But I can't - so long walks and calisthenics will be the thing instead.

And for me to be worried about even ONE cigarette is normal for me. But my rational half keeps those worries in check.

So...is there ANY way to do this? I mean...John Meadows said 55 cigarettes in your lifetime can negatively impact your ejection fraction ratio! Like WTF! So I'm at risk for a heart attack smoking one cigarette a month?

I figure...as long as I am in control, it's fine.

That cigarette was surprisingly satisfying. I don't feel like having another one immediately...but THAT'S the issue for me.

So is there any "acceptable" number of cigarettes we can smoke?

Ultimately I'm conning myself. I just don't see a world where I have that perfect amount, without wanting another. I actually do still want to at least have ONE more.

I guess you got over that, because you quitting like you did is amazing.

But see...we had the same issue, sort of: both of us are disciplined people, long-time gym goers who followed a good diet. And clearly both of us enjoy cigarettes, plural.

Was there anything specifically that made you forget cigarettes, or would you say it was mostly a matter of time?

Your story was impressive - going from a tumor the size of a quarter to one UNDETECTABLE...that's insane.

And I am extremely confident you will not have a relapse of lung cancer, barring you going back to smoking. We will all get sick eventually...do I think you will be contending with another lung tumor...well...without seeing your entire medical protocol, and reading every study, my belief is NO. You did what you had to, and now it's just a matter of you not giving up.

Incidentally, one thing about autism is this: picture living in hyper-sensitivity. Like when you were scared because you had a tumor.

Even just reading your journey to recovery had me scared! In fact, maybe I need to bookmark your thread, and open it every time I'm thinking of having a cigarette.

My fear is that if I'm smoking at all, I will become a pack-a-day smoker - and THAT quantity of smoking scares me.

Obviously even smoking one a WEEK will dominate my thoughts, no matter how much I enjoy it. Really, I just need to bookmark your thread, read it any time I'm thinking of smoking, and just forget it.

Are they addicted to the process of being tattooed?

No, I think they have some form of mental block or a mental crisis that makes them think a new tat will make their life better.  So they go get a quick one... get a little attention from their friends for a day or two.... then it fades away....    they get down and depressed and think another tat will make it all better....  before they know it, they look like a logo board.

TBH.. it has nothing to do with just tats... as a photographer,  I see this in my fellow photogs.  They get unhappy with their images and think that the latest camera or a new lens will solve their problem and make their output better.  It doesn't.

Sort of like the girl that after a break up runs out and gets a new hairstyle thinking it will make her next relationship better than the last.. meanwhile she still has the same toxic traits inside herself that she is bringing from one relationship to another.

This is a deep post. What "toxic traits" do you have? Everyone questions themselves.

What's up?

What's gay about the OP? Lol.

I could see a "Best Looking Male Bodybuilder" thread being called gay, but not this. But on that note:

- Dennis Newman
- Gunter Schkierkamp

Hm. Well I'm fresh out of names.

Lol, King Schizzo:

Whoops. I'm typing from some POS Wal-Mart low-end smartphone. I sometimes spell words correctly, and I press space, and it changes the word.

Bollywood insider Shippo with some breaking news!

What other insider tips can you share, are these stars into drugs and alcohol or other types of degenerate behavior?

I've thought about what it would be like to have a tattoo every now and then. They have become so mainstream. When I was young, only losers and sailors had tattoos. Today it seems like everyone has them. Which is a good thing for me because I've never felt the desire too look like everyone else.

It used to be that only tough guys got tattoos.  Now it is a bunch of sissies getting them in hopes that other people will think they are tough.

One of the nicest tats I have seen was on a girl at the beach here.  She had it on her ankle, but it was done in white ink.  Or some kind of ink that looked white-ish.  It was a small seashell.  But you could not see it unless it caught the light in a certain way.  I didn't ask her about it, so I am not sure if the tat showed up more the darker she got or what.

I see tons of people with tons of tatoos literally all over the place usually with no rhyme or reason.

Now just think, how many actual people would stop said person to actually read/view al those mindless tats?

Not many would be my guess.

I have 5 small to mid size tats that aren`t garish.

As far as I can tell, everyone I suspected was on steroids, actually was on steroids.

Mark Wahlberg. Christian Bale in many movies.

Nicholas Cage in Con Air was probably juicing.

Randy Savage in the 2002 Spider Man movie. LOADS of juice. Death cycle level.

Every other WWF/WWE wrestler.

Every bodybuilder.

I'm thinking the skinny boy band guys were natural, but I'm of the mind that any level of muscle mass probably equals steroids.

Ben Stiller in a movie, if I'm not mistaken.

I should say PED's, not steroids. So even diuretics and things, for some who were just lean, but not very big [the actors]. As for the boxers and wrestlers and others...were there any not on steroids?

CM Punk. Any others?
Not exactly from my childhood but...

I thought Ultimate Warrior was cool back during Late 80s early 90s due to him being so ripped and muscular even when being such a big dude, compared to most of the others who looked like Tub o Lards to me. All of them were big dudes, all around big dudes, but many had barrel-torsos while Ultimate had one of the better V-tapers of them all.

He was also leaner than Roadwarriors, Steiners, Hogan, Jake the SNake, Brutus the Barber Beefcake, Sgt Slaughter, Earthquake and Typhoon etc

I also thought Ultimate Warrior had a better physique than Lex Luger and others.

Compare Hulk and Warriors physique for example

Those guys plus buff bagwell, lugar, Arnold, sly.

Think about kids and teenagers today the guys in the movies are pussified wimps.

The Rock and Arnold turned Beta. Rock apparently cries when Biden is elected. Pathetic.

No Wrestler back in the late 80s early 90s had a physique like Warrior!
(combination of mass/definition/leans and proportions, even his legs were good compared to many other wrestlers back then)

Luger had mass but less definition than Warrior

Warlord was huge (big dude, all around big dude) and had lots of mass but wasn't near Warriors definition

Most of these hollywood phonies juice for a role. Willing to bet Captain America and the recent James Bond juiced. They were nothing before the role and nothing after the role. For the filming they were muscled.  Not buying the trainer and working out bs. If that was true they would look good year round. We know pros that look like crap four months after the contest when they give their bodies a break from the drugs.

I don't know... Warrior had a flat looking chest.  Towards the end, he got that stringy look to his muscles like Luger had as well.

Hard to believe, but Ricky Steamboat was jacked as hell when he first started.  Was a BBer prior, but dude had some good size, thickness and vascularity.
