What do you mean by "goes around watching." You seem to imply that this person videotaping makes it a point, makes a concerted effort, to roam the streets searching for acts of violence to film. It's far more likely that they just happened to be there by chance.

What do think they should do? Confront the gang members? Do you think it would be better if it wasn't filmed? No evidence to aid in identifying these animals? How do you know that the police weren't called.

This is supposed to be a bodybuilding discussion forum. Well, we know that changed long ago. People discuss current affairs, politics and even health. We don't need to see people getting killed to know that senseless killing by gangs and other lawless individuals is evil. I don't need to have such visions in my mind to know that some people are disgusting and hardly human at all. We have a choice not to watch such videos but why on earth post them on a bodybuilding forum?

Anybody that has been here a while knows that the G&O board isn't just for bodybuilding. As OMR once so aptly described, it is an "everything board."

You admit that yet in the same breath want to limit the subject matter. The title of the post should have been a clear indication as to the subject matter and if it's something that you don't want to see then don't read it.

It's as simple as that. And this "we don't need" is a foolish and naive argument used for virtually all things that one doesn't like or think others should do or have. We don't "need" an AR-15. We don't "need" a Ferrari. We don't "need" to build big muscles. We don't "need" a Quarter Pounder with cheese.

It's not, and never has been, a question of need.

Pellius, the subject of this thread is about a beating. Not about that beating killing someone. I clicked on the thread but didn't watch the video after I read some comments. I am not against free speech but surely forums should have some standards of what is acceptable? We have rules here but they aren't always observed by posters or moderators. Over time everyone gets an idea about what is acceptable and what is not. I wouldn't post a link to a video like that. Some will and some will watch them. Doesn't make it right to post such things on Getbig.

So in your world, both those acts are morally equivalent.

Beating a man to death means you are sadistic.
Posting a video of a beating of a man to death means you are sadistic.
Therefore, beating a man to death is the same as Posting a video of beating a man to death.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two men are in police custody after a man was beaten to death Tuesday outside a gas station on the Cleveland’s East Side.

Officers responded about 7:45 p.m. to a reporter of a fight in progress at a Sunoco gas station in the 7300 block of Superior Avenue at the East 74th Street intersection in the city’s Hough neighborhood. The officers found a 39-year-old man unconscious on the ground, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.
