When I was in rehab, they checked my blood pressure, multiple times a day. Often, it was high. I had never even thought about my blood pressure, before, but now, they had me on multiple medications.....

The doctor's office can be stressful. When having my pre-exam for possible Lasik or cataract surgery my BP was 165/90 which is very high for me. Later at home when I was calmer, it was better 129/83. 120's/80's is my norm at home. It seems to me that when it is going to be high it takes longer to get a reading.

Awakenings by the Sea is a quaint little in or out patient rehabilitation center located in Seaside, OR. I considered checking in  there for a paid vacation, then I decided I didn't want to be around all those drinkers for however long rehab takes. Moreover, if I really liked it there, I'd probably drink again just to get accepted into the program again. Which would be fine if I timed it so that I only went to rehab in the summer when the weather is good at the coast.



Note: before anyone gets on their high horse, I am kidding. I'm sure rehab is great for some people when they want to quit and cannot manage it on their own.
