The more advance peoples always win. At least until the libs among them start apologizing and giving away that which they feeel they have woked for. FTN.
I know quite a few Indians here in my area. They are all good people and have no distain for the white man. The problem lies in their leaders and representatives; they want money and special treatment.
The tribal people here in the states could care less, they have their own problems to deal with. Many tribes here have plenty of money, but some are very very poor. Like the black community, the tribal people are sometimes raised to play the victim and believe they are owed everything in life.
But to be fair, a lot of them have been setup for failure, by their OWN people. It's tragic.
The problems in their community today are because of their own people, it's a shame, but there is nothing we can do to help them anymore. Look at the people that represent them? They are all rich and wealthy, live outside the reservations.
It's a very fucked up situation and i feel bad for most of them. I never realized how bad it was until i moved to New Mexico. But some of them are doing very well and when the reservation is managed properly they have a ton of money to go around.
