Truth be told, I have taken more dangerous things - and I will in the future.

But those things BENEFIT ME.

I don't think flu shots benefit me...they just prevent my immune system from doing the work.

Also, I am able to fully self-isolate at home, so I pose no risk to others. Why would I get vaccines in perpetuity?

I think most people get the first round of jabs in order to snuff out Covid. Since that clearly hasn't happened and won't happen - all we did by pushing vaccines is extend the time it took for humanity to reach herd immunity.

This is just one time that I don't think humans will be able to win - we are not masters of nature to the degree we believe, IMO.

My personal view is we should simply provide enhanced care to the vulnerable.

Beyond that, stay home while sick, and increase the number of sick days available, possibly. Also, since masks are SOURCE CONTROL, those sick with respiratory infection should wear masks when they leave. Although personally, I stay home completely while sick, just to be sure not to infect others.

There's just not much we can do.

I think Michigan did a much better job than almost anywhere in the world, especially Ontario, which is only JUST getting rid of the mask mandate next Thursday!!!

The problem with the anti-vaxers is that they're not smart enough to see the big picture. Without the vaccine the medical system would get totally overwhelmed. People with treatable conditions are turned away, surgeries would get cancelled etc...

I agree with you 100%, we need to treat the sick whenever necessary. I was simply responding to Matt's comment that we should do "nothing" to treat COVID.

Also, if the vaccine is as deadly as you say where's all the dead bodies and mass graves? 11,000,000,000 doses have been administered so far! (the most tested vaccine in history).
