I have said this before....many years ago. But it bears repeating. Mike Katz....though married for many years and with kids.....was a known closet bottom. This was told to me many times by a few select oldtimers. I was witness to Lee Priest grilling Eddie Giuliani about the rumor in World Gym in Marina Del Rey and Eddie giving Lee the rundown. Lee was in stiches....as was I and my training partner. It wasnt the first time I had heard the Katz stories. Here are 2 quickies that I had heard....plus I had my own encounter with Katz moons ago and had a personal "come on" from Katz. But here we go....Katz was known to cruise for younger up and comer bodybuilders everytime he visited NYC and was training at Tom Minichello's Mid City Gym. The late Bob Bonham told me that the word around the NYC-NJ area from Minichellos mouth was that Katz would get on top and ride the young guys raw without a condom. Also....Eddie Giuliani told Lee that Katz would come out to Venice without his wife when teaching job was off for summers and that he and his training partner from Pumping Iron...Joey....were summer lovers. I will get flamed in moments from many saying Katz was a saint. Not saying he was a scumbag at all....but the man was absolutely a closet bottom. Deal with it.
There have been many homosexuals in professional bodybuilding. There have also been countless number of "straight" bodybuilders that for the right price will go gay for a night.
This is nothing new in this industry. To be fair, I've never heard these stories about Mike Katz, but if true it wouldn't surprise me.
Mike seemed like a really nice guy, but holy fuck was he ugly. If he was indeed riding cocks, I can't imagine what poor soul could get hard with Mike's face hovering over them while beads of sweat pour over.
