Despite the witty tone of autobiographical description, the work of Xavier Bayle is the most serious and, unlike the text, his work is rather sad and scary, and it happens that, and disgusting, actually disgusting is what this work says and writes. An example might be the work of a series of difference, which represents the phenomenon Bayle cruel practices against animals, some of which are widely accepted in society (eg, fishing), while others are regarded as atrocious (for example, common in Spain, Hart's neck hanging on a branch ).
