it's been 13yrs since this movie came out and it was the best sword/sandals flick and I haven't seen anything that match it since. the cast, the acting, the awards.....we need another Gladiator movie

Gonna disagree with you on that one. Braveheart was the same story (dude wants to settle down with his family, his loved one(s) get killed, he fights the bad guys becoming something of a legend in the process, gets betrayed and dies in the end (seeing his dead loved one(s) waiting for him as he dies).

Braveheart did it all better. Okay - so there were no tigers in Scotland. Apart from the missing tigers, I thought Braveheart was a better film.

Brave was Great...it just that my personal preference is Gladiator....nothing beat it for me when a Great movie has Great cast.... and they became instant classic for generations to come....I think Gladiator was Original......
