BBC News ushered in the 'Year of the Whores' last night, as a captioning blunder left the channel red-faced.
Millions of people are celebrating Chinese New Year this weekend, with 2014 being the Year of the Horse.
But it seems something was lost in translation at Broadcasting House, as the the embarrassing subtitle flashed up during a news item about the celebrations.
Previous BBC News subtitling failures have included a reference to the Arch b**** of Canterbury and calling for "a moment's violence" during the Queen Mother's funeral.
Another embarrassing moment came when the captions for a BBC Breakfast report on farming read "Pigs love to nibble anything that comes into the shed, like our willies."
The subtitling computer had misheard the reporter complaining about his waterproof footwear being eaten.
