It's real . . . good size croc but not massive. Most flat beds at 12 ft, so this bad boy would be 8 or 9 ft, yet looks much bigger because the photo was taken from a side where you could be closer to the truck and shoot over the rail. The folks on the other side are a few feet back.

THE BEEF

here in SW FL, they got video of a 12 to 15 foot gator (with a hugely bloated belly, he ate some animal) just walking thru yards, headed back for a canal. It's like no biggie to see a 15 foot gator just emerge to consume a pet, then disappear back to the waters.

even after being down here 20 years, I still have to ask "WTF?" when I see things like that. I'm ready to get the spear guns and night vision goggles. People just shrug "guess he was hungry..."
