This is what irritates me about how gun crimes are presented by the media. They don't tell you how many people defend themselves against criminal scum or even how many crimes aren't even attempted because of the fear of the potential victim being armed.
Everything is deliberately engineered to create a narrative.
A black guy shoots 4 people in a gang or drug related crime---> Gun Violence claims 4 lives. The story will be about race and poverty and failings of the police to curb the violence. Mayors like Brandon Johnson will find a way to blame whitey. This will generate No Calls for stricter gun laws. There will be no interviews with the victims family.
A white guy shoots 4 people whether its justified self defense or mental illness or whatever---> Active Shooter opens fire killing 4. Nationwide coverage, calls for new gun laws, The story will be about the NRA and local/state politicians and their stance on stricter gun laws. If it's a white guy and its a clear case of self defense and the "victims/suspects" are black. The story will be about whether or not he should be charged (as if it's a genuine question) and the 'outrage' of the family.
The media manipulates every issue. I don't buy that they do it intentionally for viewership or circulation. They could just state facts, leave out the rhetoric and their ratings/circulation would be the same... maybe even better. MSM and new modern socialist leftist politicians are actively trying to destroy the country from the inside out and unfortunately its working.
