that's a chest wound I bet. See that a couple times. Both gun and knife. That one was a gun, large caliber to I bet. The trail had little puddle spots as it goes that dude trying to get away on hands and knees while trying to get air into his collapsed lung but instead coughing / vomiting the blood filling his throat. Messy, slow and painful way to go. Seen people last a couple minutes praying in arabic, screaming (trying to) and just basically drowning to death. Nasty ordeal.
Rolled up post FF for SitRep and when the insurgent KIA were being photographed the Crpl notice dude was still alive (barely) gasping through the hole in the side of his chest. Crazy shit
