That first pic is Bart the bear with his trainer. They did that all the time and the guys head would emerge from the bear's mouth as slimy as a newborn wildebeest. That was the bear from the movie "The Edge", "Legends of the Fall", as well as many others. He was absolutely huge, but raised since birth by Doug Seuss (sp?) in Utah and trained for films. Bart died of cancer at age 23, 15 or so years ago.
