I would do what I thought made the most sense for my people.  The problem is the people deciding whether or not to surrender (or to go to war) don't represent their people on either side.

I’ve read that Ukraine people have had a different cultural compared to Russians so maybe it is like ethnic cleansing. Someone from East Europe might be able to chime in.

But no other countries are stepping in so it’s a decision that they should count on no help to fight the Russians. Which US and NATO provoked this for years and alluded to protecting Ukraine.

American troops are all volunteer.  Russians are mostly inexperienced, poorly trained conscripts.

Russians are barely able to function in Ukraine which is like the invading their own country.

The U.S. has been actively fighting wars for 20+ years.

American armor and artillery is equal or better than Russian and more experienced.  American air force superior.  American navy superior.
